New Release “Again for the First Time” !!!

So…. as some of you may know, I’ve got a new book coming out in 6 short weeks! I’ve been toiling over this story for a lonnnnnng time, but that’s only because it’s so close to my heart. Luke and Lissy have a complicated love story that needed to be told a very specific way, so I chose not to rush it. My original plan was to release all the way back in August, shortly after book 3 of the Free Falling series, but clearly, that never happened. Instead, I continued to work on it until I got that warm, tingly feeling that tells me ‘I must tweak no more’ (sn: accidentally typed ‘I must twerk no more’…. whole other blog post). Now that edits are back, I’ve got a bit of last-minute fine-tuning to do before officially releasing it to the wild, on Friday, January 23rd to be exact, but I’ll answer a few questions that have come up in the meantime: Is this a standalone? How many pages? What’s it about? And I’ll also share a few tidbits at random. Let’s start with the blurb…

“Marry me” were the last words Luke thought he’d say to a perfect stranger. Then again, Lissette never dreamed she’d actually say “yes”.

But she did…

The odds are against them from the start of their less than conventional marriage, but the couple quickly realizes that their newfound love is absolutely worth the risk.

“Again for the First Time” is roughly 380 pages and is a standalone. No cliffy! Promise lol. There will, however, be a full-length story for secondary characters – I’m already working on it 😀 . I assure you, though, Luke and Lissy’s journey concludes in this one novel.

This project was different from anything else I’ve ever written based on one detail that I didn’t expect to have such a major impact. There’s a sense of family that I’ve never experimented with before (in terms of siblings). Not sure why, but for whatever reason, most of my lead characters come from homes where they are the only child (with the exception of Solei from Red Sun who lost a sister and then gained a step-sibling she hated). Luke is one of four children in his family, while Lissy is one of five girls with a half brother who isn’t around. I thoroughly enjoyed showing their interactions with their siblings and just the family element as a whole.

Another detail people seem to like to be privy to is the age of the characters. Lissette is twenty-four and Luke is twenty-six, but turns twenty-seven within the story. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, drop down to the comments and ask away! For now, you can check out the Again for the First Time Pinterest board to see who inspired the characters!!
